How to share a Claude artifact with people who don't use Claude

Guides ·

Claude made the dashboard, the one-pager or the prototype, and it looks right in the side panel. The people who need to see it are a client, a manager on another tool, or a team that has never opened Claude.

Claude can share an artifact itself. Its help center says everyone who opens a shared artifact needs a Claude account, apart from legacy chat artifacts that were published, and that on Team and Enterprise an Owner decides whether links can leave the organization. When the audience is wider than your Claude users, give the work its own address instead. The comparison with Claude's sharing lays out the differences, with sources.

The quickest way: let Claude publish it

Connect Publidock once, and Claude can publish what it made without a download.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Press +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Paste https://app.publidock.com/mcp, press Add, and sign in to Publidock when asked.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first under Organization settings, then Connectors.

Then ask: “Publish this dashboard to Publidock and give me the link.” Claude returns the address and says who can open it. Publidock shows a consent screen before the connection is made, naming what Claude may do: read your sites, add drafts, publish, or change who can open a site. Nothing is granted until you allow it.

By hand: get the file out first

If you would rather not connect anything, take the artifact's code out of Claude and save it as a file.

  • An HTML artifact is already a web page. Save it as index.html and drop it on Publidock.
  • A React artifact is a component, not a page. A browser cannot open a .jsx file on its own. Ask Claude to “rewrite this as a single self-contained HTML file with the scripts inlined”, or build it with Vite and publish the dist folder. The Vite guide covers that route.
  • Markdown or a CSV can go up as it is. Publidock renders Markdown as a page and opens a CSV as a sortable sheet.

Choose who can open it

Set the rule before you go live. Anyone with the link works on every plan. A password, which can expire, needs Solo or above. Your company's domain, or a list of named people, needs Team. Named people and company viewers sign in with the Google or Microsoft account they already have, and none of them become members of your workspace.

The sharing rules explain each option, and the access guide shows how to test a rule as a recipient before you send the link.

When Claude changes it again

Ask Claude for the next version, then publish to the same site. The address you already sent shows the new work, the earlier version is kept, and anyone's comments stay on the version they were written about. See versions.
